About Ultimate Shine Car Wash
Located at 702 N 3rd St, St Joseph, IL 61873, Ultimate Shine Car Wash operates as a car wash serving St Joseph in Illinois. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Car washes in the United States come in four main formats: the express tunnel, where you stay in the car while a conveyor pulls it through brushes or high-pressure jets; the full-service wash, where attendants vacuum and wipe down the interior after the tunnel; the self-service bay with a coin or card-operated pressure wand, foam brush and vacuums; and the hand wash, where a crew washes and dries the car by hand. Touchless tunnels skip the cloth brushes entirely and rely on chemicals and water pressure, which is gentler on paint but less effective on heavy grime. Most express chains sell an unlimited monthly plan, usually priced at two to three single washes, that is only worth it if you wash more than twice a month. Gas stations often bundle a discounted wash with a fill-up.

St Joseph is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and St Joseph follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The car wash payment/operator control was not working correctly. I would swipe my bank card and no reaction and also did the tap method but neither would be acknowledged. I than tried to add time and it would accept the button push. Than when I was done it showed a 10 dollar charge because I pushed the button after running out of time to make sure my card wouldn’t work. Wrong! It charged me $6.00 again even though I didn’t want it to charge. I contacted the person on phone number and he told me it was my fault due to using both payment methods. I explained to him that his screen wouldn’t acknowledge payment and that’s why I tried both. Basically I was left with it’s my fault and he would check into it

I have used the last two bays in the last couple of days, and the coin machine in the bays won't take bills or credit cards. The brushes are worn out and need to be replaced, I wouldn't use them on my trucks. The soap was not strong at all. Lastly, they need to have someone working because on one day, some guy was washing his grill in the bay, and it was a mess. I used to use this car wash all the time. It will be a long time if or when I go back. I tey to keep my money in town shop local ect... unfortunately changes need to be made before I go back.

We use the dog wash at least 1 time a month for our 2 small dogs and it is great! Temperature of water is good and the conditioner smells very nice- also we don’t have to break our backs leaning over a bathtub! Definitely have recommended to other pet owners

Don't even waste your money if your car isn't already spotless it will do nothing. Tried it several times, both automatic and the regular bays. Often only water sprays when selecting different things like wax or soap. Just tried the automatic today 4-11-17 on my daughters car that was just waxed 2 weeks ago, only had a light dust on it, didn't even knock that off, and had no high pressure soap, just plain water. Horrible place to waste money at! Go to superwash in savoy or Tilton instead, those are good ones.
